The Italian Stallion battles Mason "The Line" Dixon

2006 Sylvester Stallone Screen Worn Trunks from "Rocky Balboa," AKA Rocky VI. It had been thirty years since the American public was first introduced to the slow-witted but huge-hearted underdog, and while none of the sequels could match the Academy Award winning acclaim of the original, this sixth edition was a rousing box office success, returning $155 million on a $24 million budget. This film broke the heartbreaking news that Rocky's beloved wife Adrian had succumbed to cancer, a loss that left the aging boxer spiritually and emotionally adrift. His salvation would come between the ring ropes in a typically brutal and bloody slugfest with his foil Mason "The Line" Dixon, ably played by former Light Heavyweight Champion Antonio Tarver.

These trunks first entered the hobby through Heritage Auctions' presentation of "The Sylvester Stallone Collection" in 2015 and are accompanied by Stallone's personal letter of provenance from that sale. The black and gold velvet garment shows stage blood on the gold trim, and perfectly matches footage of the climactic bout that saw a sixty-year-old Rocky lose a razor-thin decision but win the battle for his own soul. Letter of provenance from Sylvester Stallone.
