Description

2002 Muhammad Ali Signed Massive Original Artwork from Final Public Signing. Enormous artwork in Ali's charming, instantly recognizable style derives from his final public autograph show appearance, and was applied to the white tablecloth that was placed in front of the boxing legend as he held court with the autograph-seeking public for the last time. The visible area of the artwork is an extraordinary 18x50" and pictures two airplanes at far right and a jumble of scribbles (perhaps mountains?) commanding the left side of the work. Ali signs (10/10) the work above one of the two airplanes.

The display includes the five markers which Ali used to create the work, displayed on either side of an engraved plaque reading, "Muhammad Ali, Original artwork with autograph from Final Public Show Appearance at Rosemont O'Hare Expo Center, August 9, 2002." Framed dimensions are 37x64". Letter of provenance from Troy Kinunen. Full LOA from Beckett Authentication Services.
