Description

1990 Art Serwano USBA Light Middleweight Championship Belt. The Ugandan national earned a unanimous twelve-round decision over Gilbert "Sweet Sensation" Baptiste on January 18, 1990 in San Jose, California to earn the Championship belt presented here, and the immense pride of his homeland. Today, Serwano is best remembered as the victim of one of Roy Jones, Jr.'s most dramatic knockouts, a single right hand in the opening round that turned out the lights before Serwano hit the canvas. The belt remains in splendid condition, housed in its original foam lined metal carrying case. Also here is Serwano's personal scrapbook, filled with newspaper clippings and snapshots documenting his rise to the top of the boxing world. For Serwano, this belt was earned only through years of hard work and a single-minded dedication to the task at hand. For you, simply a winning bid.
