1974 Poster Welcoming Muhammad Ali to Zaire--Only Known Exemplar! We had heard rumblings about of this one-of-a-kind piece for years, but this is the first time we have offered it. Fabulous poster was hung at the Zaire airport to serve as a greeting to Ali when he landed for the fight versus Foreman. It was brought home by an attendee of the fight. Features two full length images of the pugilists with text that reads "Glad Your [You're] Here. Oct. 29th/74 Kinshasa, Zaire." Matted and framed to the dimensions of 30.25x25.5" (22x17" visible in frame). Rare and beautiful. Note: The poster was professionally cleaned/restored by Graphic Conservation Company and the paperwork for the restoration is included. Letter of provenance from Troy Kinunen.Auction Info
