1971 Muhammad Ali vs. Joe Frazier I ("The Fight of the Century") On-Site Fight Poster. Billed as "The Fight of the Century," the first installment of the Ali and Frazier trilogy lived up to the hype, and then some. The bout went the full fifteen, with the crescendo coming in Round 14 when the defending champion Frazier put the previously undefeated Ali on the mat with a left hook for ages. The clash took place at Madison Square Garden on March 8, 1971 and the presented poster is one of the coveted on-site versions for that bout. Exhibits overall wear, including surface creases and border/corner chipping but remains a impressive display piece. Measures 22x28".Auction Info
