Description

1970 Muhammad Ali Signed Newsweek Magazine. In the 1970s, Muhammad Ali reestablished himself as both a dominant fighter and a global icon after being sidelined during the late 1960s for refusing military service. Returning to the ring in 1970, he fought a series of legendary bouts, including the "Fight of the Century" against Joe Frazier in 1971, the epic "Rumble in the Jungle" victory over George Foreman in 1974, and the brutal "Thrilla in Manila" rematch with Frazier in 1975. During this decade, Ali reclaimed the heavyweight championship twice and solidified his reputation for resilience, tactical brilliance, and unmatched charisma. His performances and presence in the 1970s cemented his status as one of the greatest and most influential athletes in history.

Offered is a November 9, 1970, issue of Newsweek with Ali on the cover. He signed in strong silver Sharpie. Toning, creasing, edge tears and general wear exhibited. Pre-certified by PSA/DNA.
