    Description

1950 Joe Louis vs. Ezzard Charles world Heavyweight Championship Full Ticket. Although he initially retired (as reigning heavyweight champion) in 1949, Joe Louis was forced to come out of retirement and defend his title in 1950 due to financial concerns. Let's just say the IRS had a vested interest in getting Louis back in the ring for another couple of years. On September 27, 1950, Ezzard Charles beat Louis for the title, and Louis would not have another chance at recapturing the title again. This full ticket appears very attractive from the front, but the verso is heavily scrapbook damaged and creased in one spot for a grade of Poor overall.
