1938 Joe Louis vs. Max Schmeling Full Ticket & Fight Program.UPDATE: Since catalog printing, ticket has been encapsulated "Authentic" by PSA.
Atoning for his earlier disappointment, Joe Louis was ready for Max Schmeling during the second installment of their war. Joe Louis represented an entire race of people when he battled his German challenger in 1938. In fact, after winning the title from James Braddock Louis wouldn't recognize himself as champion until he dealt with Schmeling. Louis finally got the revenge he sorely need when he dominated Schmeling June 22, 1938 at Yankee Stadium. Fans celebrated in the streets following Louis' triumph. Used for admission into that historic bout is this full ticket. The crease-free ticket features mug shots of both combatants and has minor corner wear. Also included is an EX/MT unscored program. Minor edge and handling wear visible.
