1938 Joe Louis Original Photograph. Amazing original portrait seen here depicts the Brown Bomber Joe Louis some time during 1938 -- the same year as his epic bout of Good vs. Evil rematch against German Max Schmeling. Louis served as a hero for his country against the Third Reich when he resoundingly thumped Schmeling after 124 seconds together in the ring. The photo seen here measures 6.5 x 10.5" and also features a "B. Crittenden," whose name as well as Louis' has been penned beneath his image. Coming from the studio of Gus Jameson, original ink writing indicates "Chi Ohio" and "1938".Auction Info
