1927 Jack Dempsey vs. Gene Tunney Beech-Nut Diecut Advertising Display Triptych Picturing "The Long Count Fight." "The Scrap of the Century...A Photographic Reproduction of the World's Greatest Sporting Event. Heavyweight Championship Fight, Gene Tunney vs. Jack Dempsey. Soldier Field Chicago Sept 22, 1927 - Attendance 145,000...Beech-Nut Chewing Tobacco. 'Quality Made It Famous'

Fantastic artwork at the center depicts a panoramic/birds-eye view of the iconic bout from a vantage point high atop the arena. The roman architecture of Soldier Field borders the 145,000 hatted spectators who fan out to surround the illuminated action in the center ring, while the Chicago skyline, a passing aircraft, and the evening's blue sky provide the ideal backdrop.

The diecut advertising display triptych exhibits some light water damage around the borders and some surface wear at the center and sides where it folds close. Also, there was some minor restoration work done near the top border. But considering its ninety-plus-year vintage, this piece remans in remarkable condition. Measures to dimensions of 38x60". One of the most stunning display pieces imaginable.
