    Description

1919 Jess Willard vs. Jack Dempsey Heavyweight Championship Full Ticket PSA EX 5. Fought on Independence Day of 1919 in Toledo, Ohio, this heavyweight championship fight would prove to be a one-sided affair with Dempsey pummeling the larger Willard. Willard had made only one previous title defense since taking the belt from Jack Johnson in 1915. Dempsey knocked Willard down seven times in the first round and he was saved only by the final bell at the end of the round. With at least three cracked ribs and a battered face, Willard was unable to continue after the third round. The era of the Manassa Mauler and the million dollar gate was born. The offered ticket remains in fine shape with only minor creasing and corner wear.
