1910's Tex Rickard Signed Photograph. One of the first great fight promoters--he was the force behind Johnson/Jeffries, Willard/Dempsey and Dempsey/Tunney--Rickard earned posthumous induction to the Boxing Hall of Fame in 1990. This marvelous studio portrait finds the pioneering businessman at the height of his career, a huge (10x13") sepia image with studio stamping at lower right from San Francisco. His black fountain pen inscription at upper right is unimprovably bold, reading "To My Friend R. R. Barrett, Yours Truly, Tex Rickard." Photo is likewise free of any distractions, and is matted and framed to final dimensions of approximately 14x18". Pre-certified by PSA/DNA.
