    Description

1910-15 Jack Johnson Boxing Tickets Lot of 3. The beginning and the end. Though Johnson technically wrested the belt from Tommy Burns in 1908, it was his defeat of Jim Jeffries in 1910 that legitimized his uncomfortable reign to the American public. The presented low grade ticket from the bout is reassembled to "Full" status, as noted on the PSA header. Bookending Johnson's reign is a full proof ticket for a March 6, 1915 bout with Jess Willard at Juarez, Mexico. Of course, the date and venue of the controversial match was changed to April 5 in Havana, where Johnson was either knocked out or took a dive, depending upon your personal viewpoint. This ticket presents as VG. Each ticket is slabbed as "Authentic" by PSA. Also here is a railway ticket/afternoon tea ticket for the Jeffries/Johnson bout, Good.
