1906 "Stars of the Prize Ring" Advertising Sign. Extraordinary paper poster was released over a century ago by Old Steuben Bourbon, quite possibly a favorite of the great John L. Sullivan who is pictured at center of this cast of turn-of-the-century ring greats. Also among the pugilists represented are Jim Jeffries, Bob Fitzsimmons, Battling Nelson, Jim Corbett and Abe Attell, best remembered today for his part in the 1919 Chicago Black Sox gambling scandal. Some dampstaining is evident along the lower left and upper right areas of the piece, but the distraction is minor and the overall aesthetics remain strong. Poster measures approximately 22x28" in size with a period frame extending the dimensions to 27x32". Third party shipping required.

The hammer price for my Mantle card significantly exceeded my admittedly conservative estimations, and I couldn't be more pleased.
