1897 Jim Corbett vs. Robert Fitzsimmons Commemorative Silver Tray. One of the greatest bouts of the 19th century is celebrated with this remarkably detailed silver tray etched with stunning likenesses of the two Hall of Fame pugilists, an image of the belt for which they battled, and a comprehensive "tale of the tape." The remarkable relic is the creation of "Carpathian Silver Tray Co." of New York City, as their maker's mark on obverse states. "Made in England" stamped on reverse. An expected and acceptable degree of storage wear is present, and we advise interested bidders to visit our enlargeable online imagery for the best evaluation of condition. Dimensions 10.5x14".
