1881-94 John Sullivan, John Heenan, James Corbett & Others Late 19th Century Boxing Books Lot of 12. An excellent library of late 19th Century pugilists is offered in a single lot here. Includes three copies of "Fistiana's Heroes" including Jem Mace (with photocopied front cover), John Morrissey and John Heenan. Another book on Mace is called "Fifty Years a Fighter." In the "Life and Battles" series, those covered are James Corbett (British version), James Corbett (American version), John L. Sullivan, Jack Dempsey and a rare copy of "Lives and Battles of Famous Black Pugilists." Other books include "Prize Ring Champions of England from 1719 to 1889," "The Champions of the American Prize Ring" and "History of the Great Battle Between John L. Sullivan and Jake Kilrain."
