1870's-80's Famous Fights in the Prize Ring Issues 1-30, 33-36 Lot of 33. The offered lot is a remarkable boxing find. Single issues of "Famous Fights in the Prize Ring" are difficult enough to find, but a near complete run including the first issue is unheard of. Issues 1 & 2 are actually combined into one issue, while the remainder are all single issues. The lot encompasses numbers 1-36, missing only 31-32. Very fragile due to the paper stock, these 7.5x10" newsletters average Fair to Good condition, with the earlier issues presenting better. Issue #1, featuring Tom Sayers vs. John Heenan, rates a nice Very Good or better with only a couple cover chips holding it down.
