Early 1940's Multi-Signed Boxing Glove with Jim Thorpe, James Jeffries. A shredded handwritten note found inside the presented Sol Levinson brand glove offers a hint at the provenance, reading, "Here is a boxing glove, signed by some of the top athletes during World War Two--we auctioned a few of these gloves off at a Bond Rally." Though some of the names are far from household fixtures, two immediately register with even the casual sports historian--legendary Native American super-athlete Jim Thorpe and former Heavyweight Champion James Jeffries. The white "ink" used to apply the signatures ranges in boldness from 3/10 to 6/10. Other signatures include American League umpire Beans Reardon and boxer Jack Root, considered by many to have been the first Light Heavyweight Champion. Pre-certified by PSA/DNA.
