    c. 1910 John L. Sullivan Original Photograph, Taken at Jack Johnson's Camp before Jeffries Fight.
Dubbed the "Fight of the Century" undefeated heavyweight champion James J. Jeffries came out of retirement to challenge Jack Johnson. Two weeks prior to the bout, the first heavyweight champion of the world, John L. Sullivan, made his way out west to inspect the fighters for himself. This 5x7" original photo likely dates to that visit in late June of 1910 and shows the great pugilist, in a full suit, working the punching bag on a training set that Jack Johnson can be seen on in later images. Moderate wear is shown through the sepia-toned image. The reverse has the following written in pencil "JL Sullivan", "Johnson Camp", and "N.Y. Herald [unknown]". A fantastic piece of boxing history.
