    Description

Circa 1917 John L. Sullivan Signed 19th Century Imperial Cabinet Photograph. Boxing great John L. Sullivan, who is credited as being both the last bare-knuckle heavyweight champion as well as the first gloved heavyweight champion, was also the first American athlete to exceed one million dollars in earnings.

This 19th century cabinet photograph pictures a very young Boston Strong Boy. Inscribed and signed on mat "Compliments of John L. Sullivan to Eleanor Early" in 8.5/10 fountain pen. Early was a daring young journalist and adventurer who would go on many best selling books and travel the globe, which was quite unusual for a woman of that era. Measures 7x10" with some wear, including chipped corner, pinholes and some scratches. Still a great photo, rare signature, and inscription linking two American originals. Full LOA from PSA/DNA. Auction LOA from SGC Authentic.

Just wanted to let you know how pleased I am regarding the sale of my hockey jersey. You were great to work with, you answered all my phone calls and e-mails in a prompt manner, and you did a great job marketing the jersey.
