    Description

1963 Cassius Clay Signed Membership Application. The twenty-one year old boxer was less than three months from his World Championship victory over Sonny Liston when he filled out this "Designation and Application for Membership in the American Federation of Television and Radio Artists." Fascinating single page document (6x8.5") has the young legend writing his name not once, not twice, but three times, and he also fills out his address, application date and social security number on the front. Flip the page over and Clay describes himself as a "Sports Personality (Boxer)." Original storage folds are all but invisible and do not touch any of Clay's writing, leaving the piece in strong NRMT overall condition. LOA from Craig Hamilton / JO Sports. Additional LOA from Steve Grad & Zach Rullo/ PSA DNA.
