1946 Max Baer Signed Photograph. Max Baer was such a powerful puncher that he ended the life of Frankie Campbell with only two blows and delivered so much damage to Ernie Schaff that he eventually died in the ring in a later bout against Primo Carnera. The feared heavyweight champ of 1934-35 has signed this handsome 8x10", which has been matted to final dimensions of 11x14". A stunning black fountain signature and inscription appear in the photo's upper right corner. Inscription reads: "To Irene -- A Lovely Lady -- Best of happiness always. Love -- Max Baer. 5/13/46." Surely, one of the finest examples of a Max Baer photo in the hobby. LOA from PSA/DNA.
