    Description

1940's Sugar Ray Robinson Signed Photograph, PSA/DNA NM-MT 8. Widely considered the greatest pound-for-pound boxer in history, Robinson was forced to put his stellar career on hold for fifteen months in service to the World War II effort, though his duties were primarily in the role of troop entertainment, performing exhibition bouts with fellow ring legend Joe Louis. This is the best signed photo we've encountered from the iconic fighter, reading, "Best Wishes To Lt. Carl, A Swell Company Commander who I wish all in life I wish myself, Sincerely, Corp. Ray Robinson." His blue fountain pen ink rates 9+/10, and the 10x8" photo is likewise flawlessly preserved. Full Grading LOA from PSA/DNA, NM-MT 8. Auction LOA from SGC.
