    Description

1930 Jim Corbett Cut Signature Display. The boxing legend Gentleman Jim Corbett is best-known for his defeat of then-heavyweight champ John L. Sullivan in 1982. A pioneer of the sport in many ways, Corbett has been called the "Father of Modern Boxing." Here we present a fine specimen of the Hall of Famer's handwriting in the form of the short 1930 letter we present here. The cut reads "To My dear friend Douglas Van Riper with warmest regards - Jas J Corbett - May 15/30". Has been double matted and framed with a vintage postcard of the legendary pugilist. LOA from PSA/DNA.

The hammer price for my Mantle card significantly exceeded my admittedly conservative estimations, and I couldn't be more pleased.
