    Description

1909 Mike Donovan Signed "The Roosevelt That I Know" Signed Hardcover Book. After participating in Sherman's March through Georgia during the Civil War, Mike Donovan turned to the fight game, meeting both John L. Sullivan and Jack "The Nonpareil" Dempsey during his active career. Later he would work Kilrain's corner for the Sullivan fight, and prepare Corbett for his historic defeat of Sullivan in 1892. The International Boxing Hall of Famer passed away in 1918, making signed pieces like this example extremely scarce and desirable. The offered limited edition copy of "The Roosevelt that I Know" has been signed on the first interior page in Mint black fountain pen ink by the historic fighter. Light toning throughout, but otherwise Mint quality is exhibited. Auction LOA from James Spence Authentication. Pre-certified by PSA/DNA.

    Guide Value or Estimate: $400 - $600.
