1902 Jim Jeffries vs. Bob Fitzsimmons World Heavyweight Championship Ticket Stub, PSA Poor 1. Jim "The Boilermaker" Jeffries had won the championship from Bob "Ruby" Fitzsimmons in 1899. This stub heralds from the rematch in 1902. Another classic confrontation between these two immortals began with Fitzsimmons pummeling Jeffries, even breaking his nose. The bout concluded when Ruby succumbed in the eighth round amidst a fierce rebuttal by the champ. After the bout, when Fitzsimmons went to congratulate Jeffries, The Boilermaker told him "You're the most dangerous man alive." The specimen here presents wonderfully with bold blue, black and red colors. Points are loss on the verso from scrapbook removal. Encapsulated by PSA, Poor 1.
