    Description

Circa 1894 X-Zalia Medicine Co. "Jas Corbett" Trade Card. Gentleman Jim Corbett was one of the early heroes of American pugilism, he is best known for defeating the mighty John L. Sullivan in the 21st round of an 1892 bout. Many have called him the "Father of Modern Boxing," for playing such a big role in distancing the sport from its brawling beginnings into a format more dependant on technique and skill. The cards has multiple creases and light pencil marks but displays well.
