    C. 1890's Elmer Chickering John L. Sullivan Cabinet Photo SGC 10 Poor 1. John Sullivan went 76 rounds against Jake Kilrain in the last bare-knuckle world heavyweight championship fight in 1889 (under London rules). This and the Chickering cabinet of Kilrain offered elsewhere in this auction may have been produced for this event. This is a fantastic example and one of only two or three in private hands. The obverse is virtually problem free. The back has some pencil writing with paper adhered to the outer edges from previous mounting. The famous Chickering Studios of Boston clearly visible in the center. The SGC 10 Poor 1 solely due to the remnants of the previous display, it is completely original and a phenomenal addition of a piece that less than a handful are confirmed to exist.
