    19th Century John L. Sullivan Quartet (4) With Two Cabinet Photos. Offered is a gallery of four 19th Century pieces featuring the commanding portrait of the last bare-knuckle Heavyweight Champion of the World! Includes: 1) 1890's one color, approx. 4x6" hand cut promo or trade card with W-L record along bottom. Presents nicely, spot paper adhered to reverse; 2) 1890's uncredited "Your's Truly. John L. Sullivan." cabinet photo probably mailed in response to fan letters. Presents VG/EX; 3) Trade card captioned "John L. Sullivan, Champion of the World" in Fair condition; 4) Scarce cabinet photo on black card mount issued for the era's top sporting periodical, The Police Gazette. Technical fair condition due to corner damage. Great image of the Boston Strongboy which has faded some in the last 120 years but no damage or scratches to the central image.
