1948 Leaf Ray Robinson #64 PSA NM-MT 8. A five-time Middleweight Champion whose dominance of the sweet science was so complete that many herald him as the finest ring tactician of all-time, Sugar Ray Robinson is the subject of the tough 1948 Leaf card presented here. Even Ali, the man who so boastfully claimed to himself be the Greatest time and time again, has later clarified that while he is the greatest heavyweight boxer, he regards Robinson as the best pound-for-pound fighter the sport has known. Registration is razor sharp and centering is almost dead on, two qualities rarely seen in the '48 Leaf issue. So scarce is a Ray Robinson in such pristine condition that none of the 80 encapsulated in PSA holders have even reached the Mint 9 status, making the specimen offered here an example of the finest in the hobby.

The hammer price for my Mantle card significantly exceeded my admittedly conservative estimations, and I couldn't be more pleased.
