    Description

1946-47 Propagandas Montiel "Los Reyes del Deporte" Boxers (12 Different). This scarce 1940's Cuban series of "Los Reyes del Deporte" or "The Kings of Sport" were sold with Propagandas Montiel caramels and included baseball players (Major, Minor and Cuban Leaguers), boxers and wrestlers. The fragile paper stock and album produced for this series has made finding high grade examples almost an impossibility in today's marketplace. This selection of a dozen boxers shows all the signs of having been removed from an album. They are quite scarce in any condition. The lot includes: #'s 5 Burns, 7 Willard, 8 Jack Dempsey, 10 Schmeling, 11 Sharkey, 12 Carnera, 13 Baer, 14 Braddock, 19 Dundee, 20 Conn, 21 Williams and 22 Tunero. All are GD to PR. Condition aside, this is a pleasing selection of these very fragile paper collectibles which are rarely offered in quantity.
