    Description

1920's Postcard With Dempsey/Kansas/Harris/Groh SGC 50 VG/EX 4. Graded 50 VG/EX 4 by SGC, this is the only example graded to date. Depending on the exact year this rarity appeared, the Exhibit Supply Co. either stole the 4-in-1 concept or had their idea stolen by the unknown maker of this card. The standard postcard format reverse clearly states "Not to be used in Exhibit Machines" so the final sponsor will remain a mystery. Either way, the card features boxers Rocky Kansas and Jack Dempsey as well as baseball players Heinie Groh and Stanley Harris. Some light corner/edge wear and a faint reverse wrinkle explain the grade. One can only guess how unique this peach-colored collectible truly is.

Note: After gong to press we were informed of a second example but that card has an Exhibit coupon reverse. The post card format reverse of this card makes the "only example graded to date" statement technically accurate--for this reverse format.
