1909 James Jeffries Playing Cards PSA 9 Mint Pair (2). Noted fighter James Jeffries was the man of honor for this deck of playing cards issued in 1909. His portrait graces the obverse of every card and the deck showcased a selection of top boxers including John L. Sullivan. Considering the "playing card" format would have led to extensive use, it is surprising that high grade examples have survived. The two high grade examples include infamous 1919 World Series figure Abe Attell "Ace of Clubs" and "Moran-Attell, "All The Way From London Town" Ten of Clubs. Both been graded PSA Mint 9.

The hammer price for my Mantle card significantly exceeded my admittedly conservative estimations, and I couldn't be more pleased.
