    1909 James Jeffries' Championship Playing Cards Complete Set (53) Plus Original Box. James Jeffries was one of the top two names in boxing and the subject of a multitude of special promotions. To capitalize on his own image, the W.P. Jeffries Company produced this deck of playing cards in 1909, his formal portrait graces the obverse of every card. The deck showcased a selection of top boxers of the era and scenes from famous fights. This is a nicely preserved deck that is grades EX/MT to NM with some nicer. Also included: 6-page booklet about the boxer shown on the cards, header card (EX/MT) and 2-piece sliding tray style box (shows wear and some soiling but no corner splitting).
