1895 N310 Mayo Cut Plug Boxers Complete Set (35) - #1 on the SGC Registry With the Finest John L. Sullivan on Any Census! Mayo Cut Plug was the star brand for sports inserts cards in the mid-1890's. Their baseball and football efforts are important entries in the hobby and their boxing card promotion is just as significant. Offered is a special 35-card complete set of the N310 "Boxers" as each card is among the finest examples graded by SGC or PSA for that matter. John L Sullivan was to 19th Century boxing what Babe Ruth was to 1920's baseball. His card is the finest example on record with SGC. The best PSA showing is a lone "VG 3". Overall, this set generates a 63.0 GPA (EX to EX+) and is home to all four of the known cards graded SGC 82 and almost half of all SGC cards graded 70 or better. The SGC census shows just a single card graded higher.
