    Description

1887 N174 Gypsy Queen Prizefighters J.P. Clour SGC 40 VG 3. Graded 40 VG 3 by SGC, the finest copy known of only two recorded to date. John Pollock Clour was a true brawler in that he would fight anyone, regardless of size and his first "fight" in 1881 one reported to have occurred because his opponent insulted Clow's girlfriend. During his brief life (he was killed at the age of 28) and career Clow went from a middleweight to a heavyweight but never lost his devastating left hand punch. A solid card with a few mild condition issues and a clear, nicely detailed photo.
