    Description

20th Century International Boxing Card Collection (139) From Sullivan to Ali. Athletic competition is one of the commonalities that people of all cultures share throughout history with boxing taking us farther back in time than most. The games may be different but the passion shown by fans and the desire to make a connection via collectibles or other form of keepsake is universal. This is one of two extensive selections of boxing cards that originate around the globe. There are over a dozen different countries and forty different card promotions represented, most dating to the 1900-1930 era. Brands include Ogden's, Wills, Lambert & Butler, Motte Cordonnier Breweries, Kemmel Chocolates, Willard's, Romeo y Julieta, Baguer Chocolate and many others. The boxers found in this presentation include greats like Jeanette, Kid Berg, Baer, Patterson, Wells, Duran, Braddock, Corbett and John L. Sullivan to names only the fanatic pugilist fan would recognize. This is a fascinating "instant collection" type gallery with too much to list here. Please see our web site for a detailed list of the contents of this collection.
