1962 Rekord Journal Clay/Jarlenius Uncut Panel SGC 84 NM 7. Graded 84 NM 7 by SGC, one of the finest examples graded to date. Fans of Kjell Jarlenius have no recourse but to pay the price for him being paired up with a man some consider the greatest heavyweight fighter of all time. A young Cassius Clay is pictured just two short years after his success in the 1960 Rome Olympics and before he stunned the world by becoming Muhammad Ali. Ali is recognized for his social impact as much as he is for the impact of his hammer-like punches. The offered panel is clean and sharp with but one edge "nick" affecting Jarlenius. A scarce early collectible of the man who will go down in history for floating like a butterfly and stinging like a bee.
