1931 Cigarrera Bigott Boxing SGC Graded Near Set (41/60) - Graded Cards Are the Only Graded Examples! To this day "Cigarrera Bigott" is based in Venezuela under B.A.T umbrella of corporations and divisions. The roster of 60 boxers featured in this rare set are the same as the 1927 E211 York Caramel series and are proving to be just as elusive to acquire. Currently, SGC has graded 31 cards placing the winner of this lot as owner of half of the recorded inventory as PSA has yet to encapsulate a single example. Translated back copy reads, "This portrait is from a series of sixty of the most famous boxers who have fought in the United States, North America. Packaged in packs of "Diana" cigarettes. This is the type of addition for the boxing specialist to elevate their collection to elite status. It would be a monumental task to duplicate this presentation. Includes: Graded - SGC 60 EX 5: 1 card, #16 Berlenbach (One of two EX cards for the entire series); SGC 50 VG/EX 4: 4 cards, #'s 7 Dundee, 36 Carpenter, 47 Dillon and 58 Walker; SGC 45 VG+ 3.5: 2 cards, #'s 8 Gans and 15 Mandell; SGC 40 VG 3: 3 cards, #'s 9 Slattery, 20 Taylor and 50 Canzoneri; SGC 35 GD+ 2.5: 1 card, #3 Schmeling; SGC 30 GD 2: 4 cards, #'s 5 Young Corbett, 18 Genaro, 24 Rosenbloom and 40 Shade; SGC 20 FR 1.5: 1 card, #45 T. Gibbons; SGC 10 PR 1: 2 cards, #'s 32 La Barba and 33 M. Gibbons. Ungraded - #'s 4, 10, 11, 12 Tut, 13, 17, 19, 21, 22, 31, 35, 39, 42, 44, 45, 49, 51, 52, 53, 55, 56, 59, 60. Grades 61% VG to EX, 39% lesser.Auction Info
