1910 T229 Pet Cigarettes Jim Jeffries SGC 50 VG/EX 4. James Jeffries' (1875-1953) legacy is a statement to the sad attitude of his era. Strong and durable, Jeffries style was to fight in a crouch position, just as he is here, with his formidable left-arm extended. As a natural lefty, his powerful left-hook was his greatest asset and ended many battles. During his career, he broke the ribs of three opponents, and these were all title fights against other titans of the era. His most famous battle was a losing effort to Jack Johnson in July of 1910. Offered is one of his rarest 20th card collectibles from the T220 Pet Cigarettes series. Graded SGC 50 VG/EX 4, one of only seven total, the only card in VG/EX, one higher.
