Circa 1986 Michael Jordan Signed Massive Photograph. It's one of the most commanding Jordan display items we've ever seen (much less offered), a gargantuan (60x40") image constructed from heavy, glossy cardboard that surely was produced for some form of public display. We come to our lot title a few different ways.

First, the baby-faced legend is clearly in the early stages of his Hall of Fame career based upon his appearance alone. This is a man who would get carded trying to buy beer. Next, his autograph appears in his early, fully legible format, even including a "Best Wishes" salutation--his later autographs tend to offer neither of these attributes. Finally, the NBA logo at upper left chest of his jersey first appeared in that location for the 1986-87 season, setting a "floor" for the vintage that matches Jordan's triumphant return to full-time employment after a broken foot sidelined him for most of 1985-86.

As our catalog image should convey, the piece presents magnificently, the black ink inscription both the largest we've ever seen from Jordan, and one of the finest. Metal grommets appear at each of the top corners, three corners exhibits a small, inconsequential degree of wear. The bottom left corner presents with additional wear as does the center, bottom edge. Otherwise, a few small scratches above his head and near the right edge are the only deviation from perfection. Full LOA from PSA/DNA.
