2001 Los Angeles Lakers Championship Ring - Originally Obtained from Member of Shaquille O'Neal's Entourage. Created to the exact specifications of the Los Angeles Lakers' original 2001 NBA Championship rings, in order for Shaquille O'Neal to give as gifts to member of his entourage, here we offer one of the most attractive pieces of NBA jewelry in our auction. Accompanied by its original mahogany-color wood presentation box, with a brass rectangular plaque on the lid, this stunning ring's center section consists of 14k white gold, two .25 solitaire cut diamonds, 22 1/150 solitaire cut diamonds and 39 solitaire cut canary diamonds in the background. Manufactured by "Henry Kay/Masters of Design", the words "WORLD CHAMPIONS LAKERS" around the perimeter are separated by two .15 carat solitaire cut diamonds. Its left shank has "O'NEAL 34", presented beautifully, while the right has "Los Angeles Lakers, Back 2 Back 2001." The "[size] 9" ring weighs 46 grams and exhibits NM condition throughout. Originating from one of the future Hall of Famer's personal friends, this remarkable piece has been evaluated with a professional jewelry appraisal value of $15,000, but collector's value should easily top that conservative figure.
