1994 Michael Jordan "Scottie Pippen All-Star Classic" Worn Jersey & Trunks from The Robert C. Scarpetti Collection - Photo Matched to 52 Points Outburst in the Last Game Ever Played at Chicago Stadium! On September 9, 1994 Michael Jordan came out of retirement to play in the Scottie Pippen All-Star Classic, a charity contest which would be the last game ever played at Chicago Stadium. The home of the Bulls since 1966, the venue was also the site of Michael's first NBA game versus the Washington Bullets on 10/26/84 and the home base for Michael and the Bulls' first three-peat.

Before said charity game, Jordan's last appearance on a hardwood court had been in Game Six of the 1993 NBA Finals, when the Bulls clinched their third consecutive NBA crown on 6/20/93. A little over three months later, on 10/6/93, Jordan would retire from the NBA and then pursue a career in professional baseball.

Despite his 15-month basketball hiatus, Jordan exploded for fifty-two points (head-to-head against Pippen) in an action packed 187-150 White Team victory over Pippen and the Red Team, which included a dunk over the 6'11" Vin Baker. Also playing in the game were Shaquille O'Neal, Gary Payton, Penny Hardaway, Horace Grant, John Starks, Mark Jackson, and others. After the game, Jordan famously said goodbye to the arena when he got down on his hands and knees and kissed the center court logo. The affection proved to be genuine as that very center court would soon become the floor of the trophy room in his home.

More importantly, the game proved to Michael, the NBA, and the fans that the talent on loan from god was still on loan and served as a prelude to his epic return to the NBA a mere six months later.

The white mesh jersey with red/white trim and inner knit lining displays the "Scottie Pippen Ameritech All-Star Classic" logo screened over the chest in red heat transfer with a "Ballin'" patch sewn near the left shoulder. Meanwhile, "Jordan" is screened directly onto the mesh in red heat transfer with "23" below, all sewn-on in a soft cotton twill. Matching trunks feature the game's logo on the right leg and "Ballin'" on the left leg, all screened-on in red heat transfer with the "Ballin'" patch sewn-on near the waist band.

The experts at Sports Investors Authentication have photo matched the jersey to the 9/9/84 contest at Chicago Stadium. A landmark game in the career of Michael Jordan which bridges the first and second three-peats. Letter of provenance from Robert Scarpetti. LOA from Sports Investors Authentication. LOA from Heritage Auctions.
