Scarpetti Collection.UPDATE: These sneakers were worn in the Eastern Conference Finals against the New York Knicks, as the included photo match documentation asserts, and not in the NBA Finals against the Phoenix Suns.

"How are you going to play against someone after you have dinner at their restaurant? Michael tried to do that to me, but I wouldn't go." - Magic Johnson commenting on Charles Barkley and the Phoenix Suns having dinner at Michael Jordan's restaurant during the 1993 NBA Finals.
The first player ever to win the Finals MVP three years in a row, Michael was clad in the "Air Jordan VII Playoffs" presented here when the Bulls claimed their first trifecta in the 1993 Finals versus The Prince of Pizza's Suns. During that six-game series, Jordan was at his post season best, averaging 41.0 points, 8.5 rebounds, and 6.3 assists, while shooting .508 from the field and .400 from the arc. It was also during this series that Jordan would achieve his Finals single game career high with a fifty-five-point outburst in Game Four
Sporting a chunkier look than its predecessors, the VIII's were highlighted by dual crossover straps with "23" in white/red embroidery, chenille tongue graphics, and a funky 90's design scheme. For the style match, see Getty Images 76027789 and 76027864.
These exemplars exhibit game use in the form of scuffing to the uppers and mids, with appropriate size "13" tags inside. Furthermore, each shoe is signed on the side "Michael Jordan" in fine white paint pen. Originally gifted by Jordan to Bob Scarpetti, a retired police officer who was part of Jordan's security detail, at some point during the 1993 NBA Finals. Letter of provenance from Robert Scarpetti.
