Description

1991 Wilt Chamberlain Philadelphia 76ers Presentational Retirement Jersey. On March 18, 1991, the Philadelphia 76ers retired the jersey number of the most imposing player in the history of the National Basketball Association, Wilt Chamberlain. Gifts were eschewed in favor of donations to several charities that were dear to Chamberlain's heart, but he was still presented with a faithful reproduction of the jersey he wore during the 1966-67 season, in which he led the Sixers to a World Championship. This is the jersey presented to Wilt on that evening. It is a white home uniform with "Phila 13" across the chest, along with a hand-stitched "W.C. 1966-67" on the front tail. The verso simply displays Wilt's immortal number thirteen. While not a gamer, this is the next best thing. This jersey's strong tie to such a memorable night makes it a true jewel for any Chamberlain fan.
