1986 Fleer Michael Jordan #57 PSA Mint 9. "Some people want it to happen, some wish it would happen, others make it happen," said Michael Jordan - who made it happen. What Jordan made happen best were championships, and presented here is the rookie card of basketball's GOAT. Jordan led the Chicago Bulls to three titles - twice - in 1990-91 through 1992-93 and again in 1995-96 through 1997-98. The Last Dance documentary premiered in 2020 when most of the world was primarily confined to their homes by the pandemic. Starved for sports, many millions of viewers saw Jordan's extraordinary drive to win in a fascinating inside look at the workings of the six championship teams. Many of the viewers were American and international fans who were in their youth when Jordan was at his prime. Jordan had helped make the NBA an international phenomenon, and now all things Jordan are in demand. Jordan was blessed with amazing natural talent, but he also worked hard on his game. MJ once explained that if he wanted success, "I had to get out there and go for it." Jordan got it. He amassed 10 scoring titles, five MVPs, six Finals MVPs, and was a 14-time All-Star. He played an all-around game and was named to the NBA All-Defensive Team nine times. A pair of 1986 Fleer Jordan PSA 10 rookie cards sold in January 2021 for $738,000 each.After a four-year absence of mainstream basketball sets, the 1986 Fleer issue was filled with rookie cards, many of stars already in the NBA for a year or more before Fleer ended the void - with Patrick Ewing, Charles Barkley, and Karl Malone, to name just a few.
