Description

1962 Wilt Chamberlain 100-Point Game Ticket Stub (PSA Authentic) & Hershey (PA) Sports Arena Floor Piece. Every basketball collector wants one, and nobody has one. In fact, our auction results database dating back to 1999 indicates only four offerings of this stub in the past thirteen years! Despite the enormous scarcity of relics from this Hershey, Pennsylvania contest, every fan on earth knows the event. On March 2, 1962, the seven-foot one inch superstar center for the Philadelphia Warriors became the first (and, to this date, only) man in NBA history to require a third digit on his personal scoring sheet, dropping an even one hundred in a 169-147 victory over the visiting New York Knicks. Just over four thousand fans were on hand to witness this stunning display of offensive production, so the scarcity of surviving stubs is little surprise.

This attractive specimen is housed in a PSA "Authentic" slab and presents without any distractions of staining or tearing. Included is a 2x3" slab of the floor upon which The Stilt worked his triple-digit magic, affixed to a card noting its sale as part of the fiftieth anniversary celebration of the feat. Encapsulated by PSA, Authentic (ticket).
