    Description

Early 1980's LaSalle Thompson Game Worn University of Texas Jersey. Before beginning a fifteen-season NBA career with the Kings and Pacers, The Tank suited up in this off-white cheesecloth gamer in support of the Longhorns' hardcourt cause. Only a tiny handful of Texas gamers from this era have ever surfaced in the hobby, and this top collegiate and quality pro player's representation certainly ranks high among them. "Texas 42" is sewn in brown and orange tackle twill to the chest, with "Thompson 42" on verso. Local Austin, Texas "Rooster Andrews" distributor and "Sand-Knit [size] XL" labels are present in tail. Wear is strong, particularly visible in the sweat-crinkling of the numerals and wear in the tail tagging. A top-tier example of a seldom seen style. LOA from Lou Lampson.

The hammer price for my Mantle card significantly exceeded my admittedly conservative estimations, and I couldn't be more pleased.
