Circa 1985 Len Bias Game Worn Warm-Up Uniform & Sneakers from the Len Bias Collection. Among the only artifacts worn on the court by this tragic superstar in the making to be offered to the public. All date from Bias' NCAA days of dominance, and appear in classic Maryland red and white. 1) Warm-up jacket. Six-button snap front, short sleeves. "Len Bias 34" embroidered in white thread over heart, with "Maryland" sewn in white tackle twill across verso. "Nike [size] XL" tagging in collar. 2) Shooting shirt. Pullover style, with "Maryland Basketball 34" embroidered over heart. "Bias" sewn in white tackle twill across verso. "Nike [size] XL" tagging in collar. 3) Warm-up pants. Snaps and velcro attachments along outseams allow for quick removal. "Maryland" embroidered along seams below each knee. "Bias" embroidered at left hip. "Nike [size] XL" tagging inside waistband. Some light staining at the white area of the pants, doing little to detract from visual appeal. 4) Pair of sneakers. "Nike Air" style high-top shoes have proper size "14 1/2" designators stamped inside each ankle. All pieces show strong wear, particularly the sneakers. A remarkable, likely once in a lifetime, opportunity to own a piece of game worn equipment from a man who may well have rewritten the NBA record books. Particularly desirable to Maryland basketball fans, who couldn't possibly forget the value that Bias brought to the organization in the 1980's. LOA from Lou Lampson.
