Consigned by University of Texas Booster and Close Friend of Durant.

2007-08 Kevin Durant Game Worn Seattle Supersonics Rookie Jersey. Rare and important gamer doesn't miss a step on the path to ultimate collectible desirability, standing as arguably the most appealing Kevin Durant piece ever to rest upon the hobby's auction block. Most obviously, it is a rookie jersey, the most coveted model from just about any star athlete's locker. But then this is no simple rookie--it's a Rookie of the Year, as the superstar small forward was named at the close of the 2007-08 NBA season.

It keeps getting better though, as this is likewise the only season Durant called Seattle home, the team changing venue and moniker in becoming the Oklahoma City Thunder for Durant's sophomore campaign. There will always be a good market for "defunct" team material, and you'd be hard-pressed to find a Supersonics artifact with more inherent charm.

Finally, unlike an uncomfortable majority of modern NBA jerseys in the hobby, this home white gamer derives from an impeccable source, a well-known booster at Durant's University of Texas alma mater who continues to work with Durant for Austin charities and counts the popular star among his close friends. A letter of provenance from this booster attends the jersey.

Game wear is clearly evident in the presented garment, which announces "Sonics 35" in classic green and gold team colors on the chest, and "Durant 35" on verso. "Adidas" labeling in the tail holds a handwritten "35 Durant" designation with flap tags reading, "52, 2007-2008, +4 Length." A black sharpie autograph appears on the body of the jersey front, notated "#35 ROY," and then repeated at verso on the tackle twill number "5."

One of the most exciting and dynamic players in the NBA, Durant is a star that is clearly on the rise, with all the tools to establish himself as one of the game's immortals. Should he find himself one day sharing the pantheon with Jordan, Bird, Magic and Dr. J, this jersey will have an eye-popping price tag. Investors take note. Letter of provenance from UT booster and Durant friend.
